If you want to completely change the pavement marking industry, and be known for it, this is the road for you.
Location: Remote (candidates in western U.S. preferred).
Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000 (total compensation including commission opportunities).
Why Join Us?
Skip-Line is the premier technology leader in the pavement marking industry. Our innovative systems keep highways, roads, and airfields around the world smartly and safely marked - empowering contractors and regulatory agencies with precision control technology, real-time data, and unmatched reliability. When you join Skip-Line, you become part of a collaborative, passionate and innovative team transforming how roads are striped around the world.
Who You Are:
You’re an experienced B2B salesperson who will drive the adoption of Skip-Line solutions by building new relationships, enhancing existing ones, and getting our technology into the hands of the contractors and agencies who stripe America’s roads. You excel at building strong relationships at all levels, from the operators and superintendents, to the owners and “decision makers”, easily translating technical products into plain language. You thrive remotely, but you’re not “remote only” - you love being on the road and in front of customers. If this sounds like you, then Skip-Line is the road for you.
What You Will Do:
- Build new relationships: Identify, pursue, and close new relationships with pavement marking contractors, DOTs, and regulatory agencies, becoming their go-to technology partner.
- Strengthen existing relationships: Deepen partnerships with current customers — identifying upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities.
- Be the point of contact: Serve as the dedicated Skip-Line presence in the region, becoming the trusted partner for contractors, DOTs, and regulatory agencies.
- Get in front of customers: Demonstrate Skip-Line’s advanced control systems and real-time data solutions in the field — on paint trucks, at customer facilities, and industry events.
- Turn technology into plain English: Sell confidently to owners, superintendents, and operators by translating advanced products into real productivity, margin, and safety gains.
- CRM management: Document customer conversations, update deal stages, log next steps, and keep an accurate pipeline in Hubspot.
- Shape the future of the product: Collaborate with engineering, production, and cross-functional teams to turn customer feedback into new product ideas.
- Represent the brand: Represent Skip-Line at trade shows, conferences, and industry events across the region.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Product Management, or related field.
- 3+ years of proven B2B sales experience.
- Experience selling in a technical or industrial tech industry.
- Strong communication skills - you can sell to both “the owner” and “the operator.”
- Ability to understand technical product specifications.
- A track record of being accountable: you set targets, execute weekly, and deliver results.
- Experience with CRM systems (Hubspot, Salesforce, or similar).
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel regularly.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Experience That Will Impress Us:
- Experience working in the pavement marking industry or knowledge of paint trucks.
- Familiarity with electronic controls, sensors, or interface technologies.
Why Join Skip-Line?
- Competitive Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and sick time, a paid week off at Christmas & more.
- Strong Compensation: Strong base salary with meaningful commission opportunities.
- Our Impact: You’re not pushing a commodity - you’re leading a shift with innovative technology.
- You Have Real Influence: You’ll have real influence on growth, product direction, and market adoption.
At Skip-Line, you’ll be able to point to roads, runways, and highways around the world and say: “I helped change how that was done.”. Ready to join our team? Apply now or send your resume to hr@shawharbor.com
